Can You Tell Me You Are French Without Telling Me You're French?

Hello Everyone! I received a request for me to respond to a question on Quora. I took the request as a way to be sarcastic and poke fun at both the French and Americans from the United States. I often feel like I have serious questions to post. Let's change it up with a little humor for your Tuesday morning. Here is the question and my quip down below. POSED QUESTION: "Can you tell me you're French without telling me you're French?" MY RESPONSE: "What is this disgusting thing!? It is a potato that was cooking in a bath of grease! After being cooked, they dip them in either ketchup or some other sauce. I realize that people from out of the United States read my blog. Therefore, I am not going to be a jerk and leave you in the dark. This food is a favorite past time for lunch and dinners here in the U.S. Somehow, it became a popular dish that is served with burgers in fast food chains around the globe. It is said that this food was created in Belgium and discovered by American soldiers in WW I. In Britain, they are known as chips or finger chips. In Australia, they add chicken salt to them. What!?! They are usually salted and, depending on the country, may be served with ketchup, vinegar, mayonnaise, tomato sauce, or other local specialties. I hope by now you have figured out what they are.
