Advice: You Write Down Everyone's Words??

If you are in warm weather, you can just carry on. Don't be jealous of our snow. Give me your address and I will send you all of the snow you can handle. I'm just kidding about sending you some snow. I'm trying to figure out if the author of the question is serious or not. What do you think? Is Ms. Jillian messing with me?? I'm a person who loves details and documentation. However, I'm NOT writing down everything a person says. I'm certainly not doing it on a subconscious level. Do you know of anyone who has this habit? I'm sure there are far worse habits to have in life. I'm suspecting that this person either trusts no one or is trolling me. POSED QUESTION: "What does it mean when I involuntarily write down what people are saying?" -By Jillian Alexander MY RESPONSE: "If you are writing down what people are saying, you are either inspired by their delivery or you hear inconsistencies. If you find inspiration, you need to review those words from time to time. Writing them down makes it easy to reflect in the future. If you find inconsistencies, you opted to write down the version you heard at that time. If you hear a different version of the story in the future, you can pull the notes and offer your interjection on the chat. In both situations, you are forward thinking and plan to use the notes in the future. At the end of the day, it is your task of choice. You are not hurting anyone. You may put your friends and family on edge with your known habit of documentation. Perhaps your habit will keep them above board with the truth. Be careful with your notes since it can alienate others. You have to weigh out whether you want to be right or not. It’s wise to pick those battles.
