Advice: Let's Discuss Confusing Behavior
Hello Everyone!
How are you holding up on your Monday, my friend? Hopefully, you had an excellent weekend? I had a great quality weekend with my two sons and my sweetheart of a boyfriend. I'm indeed tired from the weekend activities. Before I proceed with the purpose of this blog post, I might as well share with you my latest Amazon promotions for some of my books. My first children's e-book entitled, "Not All Girls Play With Dolls" will be available from August 22nd to the 29th at reduced prices. My first adult e-book entitled, "Construction Tales: Volume I: A Woman's Journey To Become An Electrician" recently finished being showcased in the Kindle Countdown Deal, back on August 18th, in the U.S. and U.K. markets. I was unable to renew the adult version in the Kindle Countdown Deal. However, I was able to add my edited teen version entitled, "Construction Tales: A Young Person's Guide To Accomplish Anything In Life" to the Kindle Countdown Deal from August 21st to the 28th. Let me know what Amazon market that you are in and I will work on a promotion in your region once I'm eligible to do so? Don't forget to check out my latest Tik Tok videos that are now published and available on YouTube. My Tik Tok page is growing each day with subscribers. I'm quite grateful for that platform. My hashtag #ConstructionTales now has has over 100K views on Tik Tok. My videos are also on YouTube under Verbally Disastrous as well. Verbally Disastrous is the name of my podcast. I have not released any new podcast episodes since I've been busy. However, I have 50 Verbally Disastrous episodes that are available on +20 podcast platforms. At the very least, I'm leaving an electronic legacy for future generations to listen. For this blog post, I'm digging some year old Quora questions and my responses. I figured why not discuss how to sort through confusing behavior. For the first question, the topic is on when a friend talks about another person. However, despite speaking about a person, that person behaves like he doesn't like that person. This conflicting behavior causes confusion. For the second topic, this subject is on loving hard. Relationships are not easy to begin with. Then sprinkle some confusing behavior and that will cause a person to scratch their head in disbelief while trying to decipher the behavior. Beware of losing yourself in a relationship by getting hot and heavy too soon. It's hard to pace yourself when you have great chemistry and a strong connection. Ideally, slow and steady totally wins the race. However, the hormones can get the best of us. On the other hand, you don't want to drag your feet either because life is short. Go ahead and read further for the posed questions and the matching responses below:
POSED QUESTION #1:
"His friend told me he always talks about me and won't shut up about me, but he acts like he doesn't like me that way sometimes, I'm so confused, what does it mean?"
MY RESPONSE #1:
"He may have developed an obsession with the concept of you. It sounds like he may be confused with how he feels. He may believe that he likes you yet not 100% sure. It is very different between fantasy versus reality. It could also be that his friend is saying that his friend likes you in an effort to check your temperature gauge on what you think about the guy. It is easier to dodge potential rejection by throwing you off the path by saying he doesn’t like you. He may be having a battle with his two heads if you know what I mean. His rational side is trying to bow out. However, he is indeed at least sexually attracted to you. The friend is out doing the dirty work of reaching out to you on his behalf. A sexual attraction is no guarantee that a relationship will work. There is no need for confusion. You must choose a door and proceed. You either give the man a shot, if you are interested, or dodge the bullet and kindly bow out of the news. You take the relationship very, very slow to explore actual compatibility. If your gut instincts tell you that he is the creepy type of obsessed, then try your best to graciously tell the friend that you are flattered yet not interested. If you think you may have a shot at a good relationship, then go ahead and explore it. If you are unsure, then skip the offer. Do what is safe for you. Know that you are in the driver’s seat no matter the situation. You make a move and share your interest or you do not go forward. If it is not worth it or it may cause harm, then you walk away. I wish you luck with the decision that you make." By: Leslie M. Jasper

POSED QUESTION #2:
"What does it mean when someone says "She loves hard"?" By: Amanda Maharaj
MY RESPONSE #2:
"My interpretation of a person who says that they “love hard” is that they push the boundaries of their heart by extending their emotions to another person. In addition to being drawn emotionally to another soul, this person brings a level of vulnerability that aids in the connection process. This person has a great level of emotional maturity since they are not allowing past bad experiences to hamper their ability to fully give themselves to another soul. The downside of loving a person hard is that it is difficult to pull the heart strings, dare I say rip them out, once connected. It can take a person some time to emotionally get over that person in the event of a break up. A person can become clinically depressed from a break up. Perhaps the greatest loves in a person’s life comes from walking in with a mind clear and the heart ready to freely share with a deserving human. Instead, many people walk the Earth with broken hearts and minds while trying to waste the time of another person. We must do the work on ourselves after a break up to heal. It’s unfair to not do the work and try to have a relationship with another person while introducing your own recipe of toxicity while expecting good results. Do the work to walk into a new relationship after finding the peace again that you lost while in the last relationship. Hopefully, the other person will also walk in with the same qualities that came from them healing. We can only hope to cross paths with a person who loves us hard while we return that with every fiber of our being. I wish you much luck."

I recently shared my latest short story that has been loaded up to my Construction Tales-Told By A Woman Kindle Vella Library on Amazon. This is short story #11 entitled, "Juggling Motherhood & Working With The Tools". This short story covers my life as a widowed, single mother in the era when I juggled both motherhood and my career as a journeywoman electrician. I share the various challenges I faced and lessons learned along the way. The previous short story is entitled: #10: "Early Life Lessons & Characters To Meet As An Apprentice". I decided to write about some life lessons such as guarding your personal information, managing nasty rumors, combating sexual harassment, gender discrimination, and racism. Overall, the construction culture has improved dramatically over the past 25-years. Developing both a thick skin and a sharp tongue are key tools needed to survive various jobsite antics. I hope you learn something from this short story. There are more to come. These short stories are now also available as Verbally Disastrous podcast episodes.
