Advice On The Power Of Being Thoughtful And The Analysis

Hello Everyone! I hope you are enjoying your weekend!? As in my last post, I'm sorry that I have been off the grid for awhile. I have been working on my low content book collection on Amazon and possibly other venues. In my last post, I shared some covers that have been released to Amazon. My goal is to have 1,000 journals, gratitude journals, shopping list journals, password list journals, sketchbook journals, and other styles on Amazon. As of the beginning of October 2021, I have around 200 different types released. I am supposed to go hang out with my sons at a haunted old prison in Philadelphia, PA this weekend. I am unsure if we are still going to do that or not. My sons and I enjoy checking out haunted houses during the month of October. The month of October is my favorite of the entire year. I like the cooler weather and the scary Halloween theme. I love picking pumpkins and making muffins and pies plus apple picking and making pies for my sons. This time of year is great for me and my family. What time of year is your favorite? If you could create a new holiday when and what would it be? On another note, I found an interesting question on Quora that requested my response. Therefore, I am going to share it with you and my response. I interpreted the question as two-fold. This question was on the subject of being thoughtful. Being thoughtful is a beautiful thing and the person exhibiting this behavior pattern is a soul on a high vibration. The person who is always grateful for the kind acts is also on a high vibration. The same person who then extends the same kindness in return is an amazing soul. Those people should be cherished and best efforts should be exercised to keep them in your life. Sadly, in this world we live in, we have to question each and every person who does something that is either very kind or selfish. You have to consider the motives of each party and analyze words and actions. I tried to think about it logically and trying to look at both sides of the coin. Let me know if you would offer that advice? If your advice is different, let me know? Here is the posed question and my response below. POSED QUESTION: "Is it positive to always be thoughtful? What does it mean if someone says she is always thoughtful?" -by Kwue MY RESPONSE: "Well, these are two separate questions. I shall respond to each one. First, let’s look at the meaning of ‘thoughtful’ according to the dictionary since it is the theme of both questions. thoughtful Definition of ADJECTIVE a word belonging to one of the major form classes in any of numerous languages and typically serving as a modifier of a noun to denote a quality of the thing named, to indicate its quantity or extent, or to specify a thing as distinct from something else… See the full definition https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/adjective Saved Words | Merriam-Webster https://www.merriam-webster.com/saved-words To save this word, you'll need to log in. The only time that it is not good is when it is not met with equal thoughtfulness by all involved parties. When you are always considering the best interest of others, it can be emotionally, physically, and/or financially taxing. When only one person is the thoughtful person, others count on that feature and will take advantage. Over time, the other parties benefit off the back of one generous person. When the generous party runs out of resources, those sponging will back off and fade away. This is that time when being thoughtful, at the expense of yourself and your resources, is not a good thing to do. **Beware of the person who “appears” to be thoughtful yet operates with a manipulative heart.** Meaning, whatever kind deed they extend, they are expecting something else bigger in return that exceeds whatever generosity you have displayed first. This could be either now or somewhere down the road. This may be something that they thought about down the road that you have yet to consider. This type of behavior is an energy vampire drain on the kind soul being drained of their money, time, and energy. The sad part is that often this behavior is considered non-ethical but not considered illegal. In a perfect world, we wouldn’t have to keep an eye on others who may have motives behind their actions. Sadly, I have dealt with people who I allowed to drain me of my energy and resources based upon the concept of getting married in the future. Question #2: A person who is announcing that they are thoughtful are either looking for a pat on the back for their “good deeds” or looking for something from you. The main question would be: has this woman completed a series of thoughtful deeds over a period of time? If yes, she is looking for validation so give her thanks for her good deeds. Then ask her if there is anything you can do for her? If you can offer what she is looking for then good. If not, speak up and say that you can’t offer what she is looking for right now. Create a timeframe of when you can offer what she seeks. If she has not been as thoughtful as she claims, you have some options. You either disagree with her claims or you take mental note of the situation and try to limit your future interactions with her. Beware of people who do not have a fair finger on the pulse of their own behavior. Ask yourself why this person has to TELL you that they are thoughtful? Shouldn’t their good deeds already be seen in action? If they have been seen, the person should not have to convey something that was already observed past behavior. Perhaps she is thoughtful and feels the need to remind you for a variety of reasons. She may be looking for gratitude for her thoughtfulness. If she is thoughtful, a simple thank you should work. If she is tooting her own horn on her kindness and a thank you is not working, what exactly is she looking for? If you are not aware of what she is looking for, you need to simply ask her what is the reason for seeking a pat on the back. If you don’t feel comfortable asking her, then retrace your interactions. The root of seeking validation lies somewhere in the history of your interactions. You may not be one to offer compliments on good deeds bestowed. If that is the case, work to do better. I wish you luck on these issues in your life." -Leslie M.
