What's An Ego??

We are experienced a heat wave that thankfully appeared to break on Friday. I recently released and shared my latest three podcast episodes that I have up on my Verbally Disastrous YouTube channel and the podcast platform of your choice. I have released the following: Episode #29: Part A-Sunday Funday With Friends And Family, Episode #30: Part B-Sunday Funday With Friends And Family, and Episode #31: Mrs. Canatuna Piggly Dogg Meat Complaint!! I spent the weekend socializing with some friends at an Irish festival, called Gavenstock, up in the Catskills in New York. It was about an hour and a half north of the suburbs of New York City. It is also two and a half hours north of New York City. We had a blast and enjoyed our stay at Murphy's Law up in Leeds, New York. I am sure we will go again next year. Let me know in the comment section what does the term "ego" mean to you? Here is a question, from Quora, on being asked to "drop your ego". This is another question that is good to ask. Some people have a positive association with the term while others have a negative association. I started by offering the definition of ego. I then crafted my response around the definition. I believe that it depends on the person and the situation. Many situations can be interpreted differently by different folks. It is really good to have these types of forums so that we may offer guidance to young people. Here is the posed question and my response below. Ethnology. a person who serves as the central reference point in the study of organizational and kinship relationships. If a person is asking you to drop your ego, you are being interpreted as having too high of a sense of self-importance. This sense of self-importance is making the other person uncomfortable. I do not know to what degree the other person is feeling uncomfortable. They had the courage to let you know. Telling a person that they have a big ego can start a confrontation. Was it a build-up over time before the reveal or was it just one encounter? Without knowing each personality, I cannot determine if you really have a big ego or the other person is just being dramatic. If you are an ambitious person who loves pursuing goals, anyone who is lazy is going to feel some kind of way. It is natural for a lazy couch potato to accuse an ambitious person of having a big ego. You have to assess whether or not the other person has a valid point or not. They may just be jealous of your world or you may work too hard to let others know about what you have in your world. You need to take an honest assessment of which one applies. If you have been guilty of speaking about your great goals that you have been smashing, you need to read the room of people with whom you are excited to share the accomplishments. If the other person has not much going on, then attempt to dial it back. Use the recent feedback as a temperature gauge to know to dial your conversation back. Hello Everyone! I know that I ask ya a million times. How warm is it on your side of the globe today? We are experiencing an ongoing heat wave currently in New York City. It takes a lot of time. However, I believe it is worth it to help out my international audience where English is not your primary language. Sharing My (2) Flat Screen Wall Mount Tutorials on YouTube!

Hello Everyone! How warm is it on your side of the globe today? We are experiencing a heat wave currently in New York City. I am sharing my recently created small and large flat screen wall mount tutorials that I have up on my Verbally Disastrous YouTube channel. I created them via using the Wondershare Filmora software. For the time being, I am releasing the videos with the watermark since I am keeping my costs down. When enough people watch and request the removal of the watermarks, I shall replace them in the future. I am open to creative suggestions on my videos as well. I try to make them short and sweet while using layman's terms. I did not create subtitles for these videos either. If that helps, I can add them in the future. I did have some frustrations as well. It is all a learning curve for me at the moment. I used various transition styles and tried to break it down easily to step by step. My friend has recently purchased her home a year ago. She has no prior experience with these projects yet she is tackling them. She likes that I am around to show her the step-by-step execution of different projects. I stood behind her and supervised her work and let her know about an impending error or how to tackle a difficult part. For example, installing multiple toggle bolts at once requires patience. For the record, she also works on her own projects solo without my input. I am honored if you find my tutorials super helpful for your wall mount TV installation projects. I Contributed To "Can't Buy Me A Job" by The Piggly Dogg Podcast Episode!!

Hello Everyone! I am excited to share the latest Piggly Dogg podcast episode where I play Mrs. Cannatuna and I am complaining about the bad meat that I bought at the Piggly Dogg country store!! Yes, the idea of the skit is to have a lil double entendre. The episode is an 80's themed podcast episode. I met the fellas from the 8750 Podcast and the Piggly Dogg podcast from my engagements on Twitter. This past weekend, we were discussing things we missed from growing up as a kid in the 1980's. I mentioned the candy cigarettes that we used to buy and those wax coke bottles with some sugar inside. Back in the 1980's, smoking was a way more acceptable thing. My mom used to write me a note and I would go to the store and buy her cigarettes. Cars, buildings, and almost any establishment had smoking going on inside. There was no such thing as a smoke free building or a designated smoke section back then. We used to get away with more shit back then too as kids. We didn't have the cameras and camera phones that ruin people's lives years later after posting stuff when they were young and dumb. I'm sure I would have huge regrets if social media existed back when I was a kid. I was just grateful for good weather to go outside all day and ride my bike with friends until dark. If we got a phone call, we dealt with it when we got home. It was a much slower pace than I is now. What are your memories of the 1980's if you were a kid or an adult during that era?? As kids, we used to chew on the tasetless wax bottle when we were done getting a sugar rush from the inside contents. Do you remember that growing up? Near Lake Moomaw. It's been a family business since 1835. I'm a regular customer who comes in weekly to get my groceries to feed my hungry lodge patrons. 00:50 I appreciate your sales and often take advantage of them since it helps me save money. I love to keep my money. I mean I love to save money. 01:02 My my, Emmitt is growing up to be such a handsome boy and so polite. I have a granddaughter. Her name is Susie that I should introduce me to her. That would be so lovely. 01:19 We should schedule a playdate where we watch them like a hawk so that they don't do any funny business. Susie is growing up to be a beautiful young lady. Thank goodness she doesn't resemble her father. 01:32 Bless his heart. He means well. He's just a little hard on the eyes. If you know what I mean? I don't know what my daughter sees in him. He does take care of his family so I don't dislike the man. 01:48 Now, I never usually have a problem with any products from your store. The quality is usually fresh and quite flavorful. My customers never complained until most recently. You see Sir, I'm just struggling with your meat. I just picked up some beef, lamb, chicken, some pork chops, large sausage, and veal. The sausage is not hard enough. When you squeeze it, it becomes mushy. It doesn't have that snap when you bite into it either like it normally does. The chicken is more slimy than algae laiden rocks in the ocean. The beef should be red instead of this brownish Gray color. It's like the blood packed up and hitchhiked away from the beef. The veal is normally delectable and mighty tender. However, as soon as my lodge patrons finished dinner, they scattered and raced each other to the bathrooms. It's a good thing I keep a good stock of toilet paper. They were passing the toilet paper like a button in a relay race. I am so embarrassed about this problem. Some customers checked out early, while others wanted refunds. Word of mouth about your bad meat will spread like wildfire throughout the town of Salt Lick and it absolutely kill my business too. Check your freezers to see if they're working properly. My freezer is brand new so I know it's not my problem. If another man is giving you bad meat, you need to have a word with him. Bad meat is bad for business for all of us. Hopefully, you can get better meat from a new man on the meat market. Maybe he has better prices too? I'm demanding that you refund my bad meat! If you don't solve this problem, I will lose customers and so will you! 03:45 I will cancel my credit card if I don't get some form of satisfaction. How To Know When A Woman Doesn't Really Like You?

I spent the weekend socializing with some friends and family over the weekend. I celebrated my friend's birthday at City Island. I met up with friends and family at Fogo de Chao to break bread and socialize at the Brazilian Steakhouse. I had a rather interesting Saturday night that I will discuss on my podcast with Melissa. Let me know in the comment section how do you handle, as a man, dealing with cues from a woman who is not that interested in you? Here is a question where a person asked me for the "11 signs she doesn't like you". This is another question that I don't view as a troll question. It is good for young men to pick up on the subtle cues and dial back their energy that is being wasted on a woman who is not interested. If a man doesn't do anything wrong, it is hard to reject a man that you are not interested in. Therefore, instead of being straight forward, it feels kinder to dial back the energy and even ghost. Hell, I am in the whole dating thing at the moment myself. I have had people drift in and out of the situation. I have done the same ghosting if I feel like it is not a match and I would be just wasting his time. I even had to cancel a planned date this weekend after a guy told me that I was basically going to meet up with him and we were going to make out and go straight to sex. Some men can be such animals!! He even started going into a tirad after facing rejection so I blocked him. Well, enough of my dating tales. Let's check out my list of red flags for young men to see and back down. Stop wasting time and money on a woman who is not interested in you. Yes, it is a process to find the great match. It is not easy but we have to keep trying. It is really good to have these types of forums so that we may offer guidance to young people. Here is the posed question and my response below. She doesn’t respond within a reasonable timeframe to your texts-say more than 24 hours repeatedly (unless she tells you she cannot be on the phone) 2. She only responds when you respond to her first 3. She tells you that she has a boyfriend even if is not true 4. She swiftly tries to put you in the friend zone 5. A woman will let you know about all of her bad qualities in an effort to get you to no longer be interested in her 6. She shows up to a date in sweat pants and no make-up repeatedly when you know she is usually very dressed up normally 7. She doesn’t like to make eye contact with you and her body language is guarded-arms folded and feet pointed away from you 8. She doesn’t like to be touched nor does she try to touch you 9. What Do You Do When You Perceive Your Friend As Being Walked On?

Photo Credit: www.shrm.org Hello Everyone! I hope you are doing exactly what you want to do this weekend. Hopefully, the weather is decent on your side of the globe today? Yesterday afternoon, I met up with my friends to celebrate a birthday with lunch. I opted to have some clam chowder and some clam balls. I tried to eat light since I was going to the Brazilian restaurant later. Later on that night, I met up friends and family at Fogo de Chao to break bread and socialize at the Brazilian Steakhouse. I enjoyed watching everyone feast like crazy and tell funny stories. I was insanely full when I walked out of there!! I had some delicious thres leches cake and expresso for dessert. I have to fast for the rest of the damn weekend to offset the Saturday night feast. I got to connect with my buddies (they're like brothers to me) that I worked with for years and had not seen in awhile prior to our dinner date. It was great to meet up with them! Let me know in the comment section how do you handle conflict? Now, here is a question, that I believe came from a person who believes that another person is being walked on. The guy responded with a smirk. Yes, it has some silimarities to the previous Quora question about using a smirk. It is possible that the guy she is referencing is being walked on by another person. However, that guy needs to be free to make his own choices. I don't believe that this was a troll question. What do you think about other people trying to intervene in another person's relationship? At what point would an intervention be merited? I personally believe that intervention should only happen if a person is being physically abused or an underage minor being poorly treated. Other than those situations, they are big enough to handle themselves. It is just best to stand on the sidelines and offer advice only when asked. I know the writer is very concerned for the welfare of the guy friend. The relationship needs to be explored until either party has had enough and wants to end the situation. It is their risk and reward to seize and endure. I also believe that we gain much experience from navigating through these relationships. Despite the challenges, we learn what we like and do not like in another person. Our friends, with good intentions, can taint a great relationship, cause chaos, and cause a premature decline in a relationship. I believe the energy wasted on someone else's relationship can be saved to go toward's the person's own life. As I have said a bunch of times, it is good to have these types of forums to kick the tires with other people on these types of questions. Here is the posed question and my response below. POSED QUESTION: "Why would this person smirk after I told him to not let anyone walk all over him, does he take care of it, was it all a game?" -Intergalactic Witch MY RESPONSE: "A smirk is a playful, passive aggressive approach to dealing with feedback from others. I believe the smirk is his way of saying he knows what he is doing. Here is the definition of passive aggressive, in reference to his smirk, in case you are not aware of the definition: passive aggressive (adjective)- 1. of or denoting a type of behavior or personality characterized by indirect resistance to the demands of others and an avoidance of direct confrontation, as in procrastinating, pouting, or misplacing important materials. Perhaps in his mind, he is not being walked over and is in control of the situation. He believes that he is taking care of it in his way. It is not a game to him in his way of handling his situation. He is aware that you are concerned and letting you know in his way that he is taking care of it. He is also aware that you are watching the other side and available as a support system for when he has had enough and pushes the eject button. Just support him as a friend/relative and allow him to make his own choices. If she/he ends up walking all over him, all you need to do is be there for him. It is his risk alone that he is taking. What's Behind A Smirk?

Hello Everyone! I hope you made it safely through your work week with as little stress as possible? Now you get to spend the weekend exactly as you wish with your friends and family. Hopefully, the weather is decent on your side of the globe today? I walked ten miles last night and some big miles on other nights of the week. This afternoon, I am meeting up with my friends to celebrate a birthday with lunch. Some other friends and family are going out tonight to break bread and socialize at a Brazilian restaurant. I look forward to watching everyone feast like crazy and tell funny stories. I get to connect with some guys (they're like brothers to me) that I worked with for years and have not seen in awhile. Here is a question, that I believe came from a person who assumed that I would have chosen violence. It is possible that they genuinely didn't know how to handle a situation like that? I have to assume that this wasn't a troll question. What do you think the reason was for posing the question? Would you choose to ask the person why they were smirking? I personally like to avoid choosing violence unless my back is against the wall or my boys are in danger. Yes, they are big enough to handle themselves. Perhaps people think that those who live in New York City are always looking for a fight? I believe negative energy breeds more negative energy. It is just best to walk away from foolery or anyone trying to lure you into any form of angry exchanges.
