3 Books From Fellow Female Tradeswomen- Read & Review

Hello everyone, I decided to read 3 books from women in the trades who share my same experiences. It will help me when I write my second volume. These women come from different parts of the world and from different time eras. They all offer a similar yet slightly different perspective on working as a woman in construction. I plan to read the following books and provide a review . Have a great week! I will give a review ASAP Cheers! Leslie M Jasper (Stakley)

IPR License Ad- New Delhi Book Fair

Hello everyone! I am thinking of placing the book in an ad for IPR License Magazine. IPR License is out of England. I am signed up with them to promote the book on a global scale. I am hoping that people from another country would be interested in the book. I am open to translating it into different languages and any other opportunity. I am going to see if it is indeed 50% off price for the ad. It will be at the New Delhi Book Fair in India. I am hoping to tape in the Indian market or the Asian market. I will see which book fairs are coming up and attempt to reach out internationally. If any agents read my blog, I am open to exploring many different avenues. I will keep you posted if I end up signing up as well as the finished product. Here is an example of the last ad I placed in IPR License Magazine. It was at the German Book Fair back in October 2014. Everyone stay warm and read lots of books (including mine)! Cheers! Leslie M Jasper-Stakley (soon)

Sunny Beach Side Vacation Rental- Hollywood, Florida

Hello everyone, I created a Google profile for my fiance's beach side condo that we rent out in Hollywood, Florida. It can be found on VacationHomeRentals.com and here is the link: http://www.vacationhomerentals.com/vacation-rentals/Hollywood-Florida-vacation-rental-condo-proID-79110.html The condo has a profile under my soon to be married hyphenated name, Leslie M Jasper-Stakley. However, I will not be allowed to hyphenated on my documents (I have been advised). If you are looking to get away, look up the rental and contact me. It is definitely beach side, clean, and comfortable. Have a great Monday everyone! Cheers! Leslie M Jasper

Old Apprentice Years Photo from 2001- Newly Minted Electricians!

Hello everyone! I was emailed this photo that was taken back when my cast of apprentice classmates just became newly minted electricians. It was taken in June of 2001. We spent two nights a week for a little over 5 years together in a classroom. Now we have all gotten married, had children, aged, and went on your own separate ways. It is good to see an old photo to remember the old days. I figured I would share the photo with you. I hope you are all having a great, productive week! Have a Merry Christmas to those who celebrate. I will speak to you all soon! Cheers! Leslie M Jasper

I'm Engaged for Christmas 2015!!!

Hello everyone! I want to share that I am officially engaged to Curtis Stakley! We are planning on getting married in September of 2015 at Foxwoods Resort Casino in Connecticut. I have no idea any details other than the venue. I am hoping to keep it as simple as possible. I would just elope but my family wants to see me get married. I did elope at 18 years old just out of the military. My sister and other family members remind me that I didn't let them experience watching me get married. Anyone who has read the book knows my husband died in a motorcycle accident back in 1996. It took me many years to get my mind right in order to date again. I never figured I would get married again. I would have never guessed in a million years that my boyfriend would become my husband. After experiencing the trials of a young marriage and an untimely death, my mind was closed off to ever doing that again. He is one special guy to break through that wall. I have to close the chapter on that experience and not allow myself to use it as the metric for what married life would be. I believe we are truly friends and partners in life.

Bookarma- Have a New Author Profile

Hello everyone! I decided to give Bookarma a try. www.bookarma.com is a website where you belong to a group of authors who all promote each other. Here is the link: https://bookarma.net/my-books I periodically will try to promote other authors in an attempt to gain points. These points will help me promote my own book. I decided to give it a try and see if it helps the book. Worst case I can give it a few months and then stop the subscription if I do not think it helps. The holidays are here and consume a huge amount of my time. I am in the last class for what is known as BIM certification. I have been at it two nights a week for a few months. BIM stands for Building Information Modeling. It is the three dimensional blueprinting used nowadays on big construction sites. My shop uses it for a lot of it's projects in New York City. I plan to keep practicing and use it for work in the near future. Now that I am wrapping up this course, I will have more time to dedicate to writing and promoting the book. I also need to dedicate some time to the new adventure that I am beginning. I have recently gotten engaged to my boyfriend, Curtis. I will be starting the transition of selling my house and building my life with him. We are loosely planning a summer wedding. I have not locked down a date, as of yet. My future husband is very motivated and I am sure he will be eager to help make this transition happen smoothly and soon. I must go back to paying attention to my last class. I hope everyone has a great work week. I will chat with you all soon! Thanks for reading my blog! Cheers! Leslie M Jasper (Stakley)

Update- Chief Sitting Bull's Reading Review

Hello everyone, I went right over to Chief Sitting Bull's desk to harass him about his thoughts on the book. I figured he had cracked it open at least once during the long Thanksgiving break. He said he liked the kiss shared by two construction workers in a high end banking institution building. He asked me if they really did kiss in the cafeteria. I reassured him that the two seasoned silver haired fellas did indeed share a very public kiss. The receiver of the kiss was off the ground flailing his hands and legs wildly during the exposition. I never seen so many suits with their jaws dropped in my entire life. It was definitely worth the price of admission. Chief said that he is enjoying the book and looks forward to reading more about the crazy characters. He almost doesn't believe that these guys really did their antics. As strange and crazy as their antics seem, they are indeed real life past events. I am just glad that I have a great memory and can remember these funny details. I told him that I will be harassing him soon for another update. Hands down, his favorite character is still Tazz. I hope to give you an update again this week! Stay tuned! Cheers! Leslie M Jasper
