Advice On "Renting Space" In Someone's Head?

Hello Everyone! I stumbled upon another odd question on Quora so I am sharing it with you. My knee jerk opinion is this person asking the question is trying to figure out how to manipulate others and create a toxic relationship with the person they seek attention. I then think about it for a bit. Perhaps the person is in the midst of being a victim of manipulation. The person is seeking feedback in order to help them review their relationship to determine if another person is in their head and why. I know I have dealt with men who were indeed a narcissist who had manipulated their way into my life. It is hard to shake a narcissist who sees you as valuable. Yes, I am aware the term narcissist is thrown around a lot on people. The people associate a person as a narcissist without being clinically diagnosed. I believe that there are many people who walk the Earth harming people and dodging their proper diagnosis. It is a total eye opener to intercept a partner's communication to another person. Discovering a truly sinister person is such an eye-opener. It is scary since it made me realize that I didn't "know" the person I dedicated over a decade to in a relationship. I only saw what he wanted me to see. Peeling back the layers of that revelation is a whole other topic of discussion. I did go on forums to try to get input on the behaviors associated with the personality in question. It makes you think about who can you really trust? Yes, I am not trained as a trained professional. I just offer my unique path of reasoning and advice on how I would perform critical thinking to determine a situation. I have 45-years worth of experience dealing and observing different personalities along my life path. I have observed the behaviors of many damaged co-workers over the years. I have also had the pleasure of witnessing the success and evolution of folks within my trade as well. The goal of sharing this type of data helps others to be wise of the bad behavior characteristics of people. I absolutely wish that there was this form of guidance when I was a young woman. I could have avoided being taken advantage of by evil people. I didn't have parents or siblings to give me the advice I could have used. I offer the same advice I would offer my two sons. I have a few people on Quora who specifically ask me for my input. The people asking for my viewpoint appears to grow each week. I sure hope it serves them well. I know we are meant to learn lessons and cannot avoid every tragedy. Here is the posed question and my response below: POSED QUESTION: "How do you psychologically get into someone's head?" MY RESPONSE: "Firstly, why would you want to get into someone's head? What purpose does this serve? Are you looking for revenge? To deceive? To gain an understanding of the phenomenon? To actually get to know someone? To have them fear you? Are you a victim? Are you asking out of curiosity? I would think that the only way a person can get in someone else's head is if the other person actually cares about the opinion. How does a person get someone to care? I would think that they need to admire the person or believe that they are of high value and/or influence. They would want consistent access to that person. These desires happen over time. They develop a bond, via a friendship or a relationship. In time, this person could then fear losing the other person. This is why a person would be thinking about the person in their head, via some form of an emotional connection. Yes, people can develop an emotionally healthy connection to each other. This results in a healthy mindset of a person who adores the other person. For some reason, I often make the association of a person in the head of another person as torture and not a good association. This can have a lot to do with a mindset going sour after there is a bad dramatic shift in the relationship. A person can also get attached to another person if the other person makes their lives better or they perceive the bond will continue to improve their lives. Once a person “takes up real estate” in another person's head, it is hard to release those feelings. Plenty of time and space away from the person in their head helps with the healing process. Hopefully, people proceed properly with this information and it satisfies some curiosity. I wish freedom for any mind that has another person occupying their head that they don't want. Tswoooh23_ New Game Streaming Sessions

Hello Everyone! I had previously shared with you my son Tom's Tswoooh23_ YouTube channel. Both of my sons Tom and Johnny play various PS4 video games and stream them while playing. Both of the boys are awaiting the availability of the PS5 game system to come out. I owe Johnny a PS5 from this past Christmas and his birthday. Johnny wants to go skydiving with a friend very soon. I also had passed over half the money for Tom's birthday and Christmas to him as well. Despite being released mid November 2021, it was impossible to try to get the game before Christmas. I have look and try to find the PS5 game system again for Johnny. I would describe the game sessions as just like "bro hang time sessions". Johnny is known as Johnboi on the game streaming sessions. Tom's cousin Vinny is known as Vinny Bonez. The group energy ranges from chill to a very high energy smack talk. Of course they talk trash to each other, place bets, and have other people in on the streams. I have added, to my Verbally Disastrous YouTube Channel, a spot where I save his streams periodically. Question and Advice On Underage Girls Sharing Naked Photos With Older Boys

Hello Everyone! I am sharing a question that I stumbled upon and responded. Are you reading my mind before I tell you that it was on Quora? If so, you are a good mind reader. I remember having a discussion about having nudes on the phone when Tom was in middle school. I told him to get rid of the picture even if it is offered by a young lady. Just admire and delete and don't even respond that you received the unsolicited photo. I told him it was child pornography and you do not want to get involved in any potential legal nonsense. The older a young man gets, the more tricky and sticky a situation can get. If an 18-year old young man gets caught with an underage picture on their phone, they can go to jail here in the United States. This can happen if you asked for it or not! I personally believe that ownership of the crime lies with the sender. Especially if it was not even requested. If a girl is doing it, she is seeking attention from the young man. Please don't fall for the trap and block the number if you have to after telling her to stop doing it. If a parent of the daughter wanted to press charges, now you are walking around as a registered sex offender, at the very least. Melissa has a friend who told her about a young man who did two years in jail for having underage girls nude on his phone. That is scary and not necessary at all since it can be prevented. The delete and block features are very helpful under these situations. Here is the posed question below and my response to the question: POSED QUESTION: "I'm 17 and was asking a 14-year-old to send (private) photos of themselves (jokingly). People got my info and said I'm getting reported. What do I do?" MY RESPONSE: "Ooohh!! Be careful with that!! You are at that age where you are in the danger zone. You can actually be charged with a sex crime if you were 18-years old. If someone, such as a parent, wanted to press charges, you would end up fighting for your life. The last thing you want is to be registered as a sex offender for the rest of your life. That kind of a criminal record can stain you for the rest of your life. Everything from college, sports, job opportunities, relationships, housing, and other things we didn’t previously think about. If I were in your shoes, I would claim that someone hacked into my phone through an app. You had to bring the phone to the cell phone carrier to wipe your phone clean and reset passwords and everything. Once you get safely away from that situation, that is a lesson learned to avoid that subject moving forward. One of my son’s heard about a kid, in middle school, that had to go in front of a judge because an under age girl sent him nudes. The kid got busted since he saved them in his phone. The mother of the girl came after the young man and his family legally. That is so not good to get caught up in but it is stuff that can happen. Regardless of whether or not she sent them, you cannot have them saved on your phone. It is considered child pornography and you are in danger of being labeled as a sex offender. Hopefully, the person said that to scare you. Delete anything and everything from your phone and keep your nose clean from now on. Restore your phone to factory settings. Would your advice be similar? Would it be way different? Are you capable of even discussing a sensitive subject like this with your teen? For the people with young children, these are the topics that you must be prepared to discuss with your teens. If not, they will come on these public forums after the fact seeking advice. It is cool that a forum like this exists. If they want to send it out anonymously, that is an option. I have had many chats with my sons that would make the average person cringe. It is necessary, in my eyes, to leave nothing off the table of discussion. They have a level of comfort that I never had as a kid. I have preached about wearing protection and no drinking and driving until I am blue in the face. I hang out with my friends and crash at their house if I am drinking. I can never say that I have not driven while technically drunk in my whole . However, efforts are made to avoid that if I can. Yes, I know I have said this in my blog several times. As I mentioned in my last post, I shared nine Mother's Day In Da Park videos from YouTube.  I also uploaded some other videos that I had done within the past week.  I walked past a McDonald's and shared an observation.  I also shared this very expensive Weber grill at Lowes.  Of course, I posted two videos of either Melissa or I pretending to be Daisy's voice. I am trying to use subtitles on my videos. I know there are viewers that can read English but have a tough time with listening to English. Therefore, I will try to add the subtitles to my videos. I Just Released 9 Mother's Day YouTube Videos!

Hello Everyone! I spent the weekend hanging out with my favorite girl in the whole world Melissa. We invited my other favorite pals Tara and Chris up for a Saturday BBQ. Melissa and I scored a sweet deal on a gas grill then found a Weber charcoal grill at a tag sale. We snatched that charcoal grill for $40. We had a blast and I had an outer body experience by Saturday night. By Sunday, Melissa and I did a Netflix and chill session. I was nursing a bad stomach as well. I am much better by Monday and was up to blogging and loading videos to YouTube. Instead of going to dinner with the usual Mother's Day crowd and spending $100-200 bucks on dinner, I said let's go to the park instead. We sort of had the park to ourselves so our dogs ran loose most of the time. I had a better time, despite the extra work, chilling out in the park with my sons Tom and Jho. NECA Innovation Overload Podcast: #18-Veronica Rose, Guest Speaker

Hello Everyone! I am thrilled to share that my trade sister, mentor, and boss Veronica Rose is on the NECA Innovation Overload Podcast!! I found the podcast on Spotify and immediately followed. Ms. Rose is the CEO of Aurora Electric here in Jamaica, New York. Jamaica is in the borough of Queens in the City of New York. I went to the main office today and she shared that she was on a podcast. For anyone who doesn't know, the acronym NECA stands for National Electrical Contractor's Association. Veronica is a proud union member for over 40 years and a union contractor with Local #3 IBEW. I have made a few friends with some fellow trade women over the years. I highly value my friendship with Veronica tremendously as a leader and a mentor. She is always striving to push herself and she has encouraged me tremendously in the past 18-months to continue my safety training. These are just a few nuggets that I know about Ms. Veronica. Sharing A Relationship Question That Discusses Boundaries And Advice!

Hello Everyone! I have been busy over the weekend and the first few days of the week. I have to prepare myself for the upcoming Friday podcast session. I have two ladies coming on with Melissa and I to discuss the pros and cons of choosing to not have children. They are going to share their journey in life and why they made their choice. I am also scheduling Kyle and House, from Second Shift Radio on Tune In, to discuss their favorite childhood memories. I went out socialized on Saturday evening in lower Manhattan. I had an even better time than I expected. I dodged the rain on Sunday and did a BBQ in the park with my sons. I feel like that is more fun, despite the work, than sitting in a restaurant. I have some videos that I had taken from Mother's Day that I plan to load to YouTube this week. Our dogs Daisy and Otis were running around since the park was pretty empty. During my free time standing in line or waiting to pick something up, I will look on Quora to see if there is anything inspiring to write about. For this particular interest, I was hoping to help a young man avoid getting himself into problems with an obsessive young woman. I also plan to also share, on the next post, on a young 17-year old was dealing with the backlash of asking a 14-year old for nudes. I am sad these young kids cannot ask their parents for advice. This goal of these posts is to help a young person out and save them from themselves. When I read this question, the old 1980's movie "Fatal Attraction" came to mind. I highly doubt an obsessive girl with no respect will improve with her behavior over time. When young women display red flags such as this one, it is wise to back out. Here is the posed question below: POSED QUESTION: "Why did this girl I barely know get mad when I asked her to stop texting me late at night and early in the morning? I am angry she is waking me up at night and I threatened to block her. Does anyone think she is entitled to my time or am I right?" MY ADVICE: "If either of my sons crossed paths with an obsessed young woman, I would advise to block her on the phone and social media. If a person you barely know is trying to tap into your time and energy at odd hours now, it only gets worse the more attached she becomes. You are right on this issue. You do not need to sacrifice your sleep or exhaust energy to entertain a strange female at odd hours. She is very wrong for assuming that this behavior is “normal”. I am sure it is flattering to have a young woman work hard to get your attention. However, your interaction already sounds toxic and invasive. Don’t let this young woman think her behavior is normal via you accepting or tolerating it. Put your foot down and demand respect. She will either back up and be respectful or keep pursuing you at weird hours. Beware of psycho girls who could very well be homicidal if it carries on too long and intense. I most sincerely wish you well on your choice and much luck!" RESPONSE #1: "What you are describing is common behaviour of narcissists. She’s trying to control you (by expecting you to respond immediately) and is trying to hog your time and energy. The fact that she got mad just makes it very difficult to see a different explanation for this. The normal response would be to apologise and cut it out. This person thinks you are not entitled to very normal boundaries. IMO it would be safest for you to block her from any communication channels where she can contact you". -Eugenia Nova RESPONSE #2: "Undoubtedly nobody should think the “mad” girl who keeps texting you at antisocial hours is entitled to your time. This is an answer to your 2nd question. Trying to make it to the 1st question, on why she gets mad, there might be a variaty of single reasons as well as their combinations like a lack of ethical understanding, hypersensitivity caused by hormonal imbalance, too much free time, some patterns of personality disorders linked to striving for attention and recharge of others energy, difference in time zones, etc". -Liudmila Puskunigiene RESPONSE #3: "Nobody can answer that better than you. It is perfectly legit to not want to be woken up at night, especially if you have work or school the next morning. I would wonder why she wants you to forego sleep to talk to her. If it's because she likes you, “needy" isn't the way to show it. Needy gets real old real fast. If she continues to violate your boundaries, just block her and be done with her drama. Good luck!" -Daphne Melaine RESPONSE #4: "just because someone texts you at night of early am is not really an issue. do not answer. Turn ring off. tell all your friends ( or select few) you do not answer any text after 10pm or before 8am. you have every right to make any rules. and to block anyone". -Toni Venneberg RESPONSE #5: "If you tried to establish that boundary and she gets mad, imagine what would happen if it were a more important issue in the future. I think you’re right and if she is unwilling to accommodate your request, block her and don’t look back". -Phil Johnson RESPONSE #6: "You can block her, or you can put your phone on silent, or put it in a dresser drawer. I get texts at night from overseas folks who want to be clients. I simply don’t answer them after a certain time. No real point in getting heated about an untimely text". -Isaac Clark RESPONSE #7: "No she is not entitled to your time. As you said, you barely know her. She is mad because you are not interested in her. Hopefully she won’t be texting you again and if she does, then block her". -Susan Conaghan RESPONSE #8: "Doesn't sound like she has any respect for other people's boundaries. If you just met her, and you don't need to maintain a relationship with her, as in a work relationship, I'd block her". -Bertina Lester RESPONSE #9: "The answer is very simple, she doesn’t give a damn what you think. And, she’s only entitled to your time to the extent you are willing to give it to her". -Edmond W Bugs Jones What do you think of the question? How about the responses? If you could offer advice that differs, what would you say? I see that, as with other posed questions and answers, they run the gamut with perspective. A lot of people share the belief that the young woman has no respect for the young man. Nor does she respect his boundaries. She is not handling rejection too well. Others offer the solution of turning down the ringer or even putting it on vibrate or silent. Shutting my ringer down is a practice that I follow at night. I would think that a woman or man who has needy behavior is annoying and not flattering at all. Perhaps as you get older, you learn to reign in your energy and offer your time and energy in doses. I do have empathy for the young lady who has not taken the hint that the young man is not interested in her. It makes it even worse if the young man is not honest with his feelings on the situation. A person on the outside never knows the relationship dynamics. Only the people in the midst are aware of the cues, signals, communication, actions, or missing items that may be vital to the direction of the relationship. Some people can be flattered by the attention and not want to make it go away. It is totally understandable to withhold information that tells another person they are not interested since you don't want to hurt their feelings. I remind myself that relationships take practice. Even more so when you are young. It takes time to find a person who is compatible and mentally healthy for a relationship. Watch those actions and let words go in and out of your ears.
