Season 1, Episode 1: Our Review of the Amazon Prime Documentary- "Lot Lizards"

Photo Credit: Alexander Perlman hello everyone! For Season 1, Episode 1 of the Verbally Disastrous podcast, Melissa and I are going to discuss our review of the documentary entitled, "Lot Lizard". Lot Lizard is available on Amazon Prime Video. This documentary is directed by Alexander Perlman. We have been trying to learn how to use the audio equipment over the past weekend. We are using Soundtrap for our studio recordings. One must ask, what the hell is a Lot Lizard? According to the Urban Dictionary, the slang phrase lot lizard means the following: prostitutes that frequent truck stops. Of course this phrase is a derogatory nickname for a woman who gets paid to have sex with truck drivers. According to the documentary, there are about 3 million truck drivers and roughly 5,000 truck stops that litter the entire United States. Each truck stop is laden with both men and women looking to get paid for sex from truck drivers that spend long hours away from their family while on the road. I used to hear guys at work talk about "glory holes" being at truck stops. It didn't surprise me that this way of life exists for men on the road. Melissa and I find this way of life to not be surprising and a dysfunctional niche within our society. Then again, not much of this is shocking as a New Yorker. I Have Released "I Talk My Sons Into Foolery" Videos Onto My Verbally Disastrous Channel On YouTube

hello everyone! I am in the process of studying for my NYC Site Safety Manager exam. I have released a few videos where I am reviewing building code and practice test questions. I know it is not very fun for a person not interested in the subject matter. I plan on going into the safety niche with videos that are a little more amusing in nature. Additionally, I have been releasing a series of short funny videos with my sons doing various activities together. I opted to start a video series with my sons. They are both very funny, creative, and adventurous souls. My eldest Tom is a young adult and works as an apprentice electrician like his mom. My youngest Johnny is a sophomore in high school. Johnny is much more outgoing and willing to do crazy antics than his brother. Tom is the more reserved one as he has gotten older. I typically jump right into the middle of them to get in on fun activities. I prefer to be behind the camera. With my debut on the podcast & new YouTube channel, I will have to learn how to get used to the front of the camera- at some point. Hello Everyone! As you know, I am just launching the Verbally Disastrous podcast on Spotify. I have been promoting #ConstructionTales since it's release in 2013. However, I did not promote my YouTube channel at the time- a regret of mine. Therefore, I am starting from the bottom on the YouTube social media platform. I plan to host and upload my first podcast episode with co-host Melissa by next weekend. I am in need of your help and support. However, the viewpoint comes from two self sufficient, strong, and independent career women. I am sure our angle will be unique since I am a journeywoman electrician by trade and Melissa is an emergency room registered nurse. We have walked our career path and not merely speaking about it. We both would like to think we are NOT feminists. However, others may disagree with that thought. It is still up for debate. I am toying around with some slideshow software. Yes, before you say it- I probably should have just stuck with a PowerPoint slide presentation. However, I wanted to be creative with the mini project. I opted to try Animoto's free software slide show feature. It was relatively user friendly with some cool features. I was hoping to download the file. I am disappointed that I only was able to retrieve a link to the file. I created a slide show of my 2013 basement renovation project.
