Hello Everyone!
Hopefully, you are hanging your at at home relaxing on this early Friday morning!? May your last day of the week be uneventful and efficient as possible. My 16-year old son, named John Collazo, is in the process of building his social network on social media. He has taken a recent interest in marketing and wants to build his brand and help creators promote their creative work. His business enterprise that he is building is called, "Call To Action Marketing". Call To Action Marketing will be known on social media by his hashtag #CTAMarketing. If you could find him under his name and business name and connect with him, that would be highly appreciated. This post is intended to share even more work of some independent authors, such as myself, and earn some good karma in the process. Why not offer you a taste of a variety of authors with different content? My objective is to pick out different authors that offer a variety of media content. For the record, I know nothing about the author other than what is showcased in the author article that was shared, via Awesome Gang. Feel free to copy and paste and share this content on your blog, if you like. As an author, if you want to add more information, drop it down in the comment section below and I will edit and add at my earliest convenience. For now, I'm connecting with the authors in an effort to build my author network. Hopefully, they will follow me back on social media. I'm game to cross promote each other on social media as well. Just let me know or re-tweet one of my posts and I will automatically return the favor. I'm totally cool with many ways to help each other market each other. When you are a small content creator, it is important to help others out. Do you have any requests for a specific author or style of content? Let me know your various suggestions down the in the comment section below. Here are (3) showcased authors down below:

Showcased Author- 1.) Budhaditya Ghosh
Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
I am a law student hailing from Eastern India. I was born in 2003 and received my education from two premier schools in Kolkata before giving the Common Law Aptitude Test and receiving an All-India Rank of 300, which enabled me to get enrolled in the college of my dreams. In my free time, I enjoy reading, cooking, watching anime and, of course, writing! I have currently published multiple short stories and one novelette, and am working on my first full-length novel.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
My latest book is called ‘The Aliens’. It is a political science fiction story focusing around an imagined inter-planetary refugee crisis. I was prompted to write the book by the worsening humanitarian situation in many places around the world, especially in and around Central Asia. These difficult conditions often left so-called ‘displaced persons’ with no real way out or place to call home, and I wanted to convey this struggle, albeit through some unusual lenses.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
One habit I’ve been trying to shake is my tendency to use an excessive number of ever-more complicated pronouns to combat what I see as too many repetitions of a character’s name in quick succession. Though I’m sure that names fade into background noise for readers fairly quickly, my own brain absolutely refuses to forget, with the result that I slowly have to comb through my works after I’m done and remove these inventions with simpler text. Thankfully, I’m getting better with practice.
What authors, or books have influenced you?
Some of the biggest influences on me have been George Orwell, William Golding, Enid Blyton, and Rick Riordan. An eclectic collection, I know, but reading them has enabled me to find the perfect balance of whimsy and darkness when I build my own worlds. There are many terrible things and bloodshed and death in this cruel Earth we have inherited, but there is also light, hope, and laughter. Any work claiming to be organic and real must incorporate both faces of the coin. Besides them, Brandon Sanderson and Stephen Baxter have been big influences in how I build my worlds. My favourite books include 1984, Animal Farm, everything Riordan, and The Arthashastra in non-fiction.
What are you working on now?
I’m currently working on my first full, honest-to-god novel in the contemporary paranormal fantasy genre, tentatively titled ‘The King of Bones’. It is the first book in an envisioned ‘Staff of Dattatreya’ series that draws heavily from mythologies and legends from across the world with a special emphasis on Indian culture.
Do you have any advice for new authors?
It’s easier than it looks. Trust me. Writing can seem like this labyrinthine, eldritch space sometimes, especially when you get to the business side of things. But by and large, it’s like any other art form. Unless you’re absolutely trying to min-max, the fun is the most valuable thing you’ll get out of it. Obviously, this doesn’t apply if you’re writing for money. But if you’re writing for your own enjoyment first and foremost, don’t overthink it. Just jump in and let the current lead you where it will. Even if you only sell 2 or 3 copies, you’ll still have a completed book and a massive ego at the end to feel good about 😉

Showcased Author- 2.) Leah Copeland
Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
I’m Leah, and I’m a YA Urban Fantasy and Paranormal Romance author. I’ve written three books but have published two and have so many plans for more!
I live in Virginia with my hubby, toddler, and German Shepherd. My favorite shows are Friends, New Girl, The Vampire Diaries, and Supernatural.
When I’m not writing, I’m reading, taking care of my family, or stealing alone time when I can.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
Blue Moon Eyes was published in September of 2021, and book two, Silver Moon Cries is releasing February of 2022.
I got inspired to write this series because I wanted to find a shifter romance with emotion, some humor, a respectful (and broody) alpha, and lots of action. It’s been hard to find books like that. So I decided to write one.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
I have to clean right before writing, and I need complete silence. Even when my house is quiet, I put in noise canceling earbuds because I need to really get in my zone.
What authors, or books have influenced you?
Heather Hildenbrand, Leia Stone, and Jennifer L. Armentrout are some of my favorites. Their writing is fast paced and emotional. I just love getting deep into the worlds they create.
What are you working on now?
Right now I’m working on book 3 in the Wolves of Shadow Grove trilogy, and another project that I’m considering serializing.
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
Get the word out as much as you can, and have a great cover that fits the genre. I always try to recruit as many bookstagrammers and authors as possible to post and share my cover before and on release day.
Do you have any advice for new authors?
Read a lot, write what you love, and enjoy the journey. It’s not about “If I can publish this or get to this place in publishing, then I’ll be happy.” It’s about getting to know your characters in the moment and connecting with your readers. Those are the things you’ll love the most.
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
Sometimes you have to put yourself first.
What are you reading now?
At Dusk by Jennifer Snyder
What’s next for you as a writer?
Publishing book three in my series in 2022 and then writing the companion novels with it. I’m so excited about it because it’s in another POV and it will be placed in a bigger city!
If you were going to be stranded on a desert island and allowed to take 3 or 4 books with you what books would you bring?
The Harbinger series (Storm and Fury) by Jennifer L. Armentrout. I could reread those a million times!

Showcased Author- 3.) Ghost Lady
Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
I finally put my creepy and disturbing mind to good use and began writing horror fiction. My fascination with all things scary began at a young age by watching many, many horror themed films. Unfortunately, my husband has often been a victim of my horror entertainment by my scary pranks. So now, instead of crawling on the ground with my hair over my face while my husband returns from his 2 AM bathroom break, I am putting those thoughts onto paper for your amusement.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
My latest book is The Waterstreet Button Factory, and it was inspired by my own experience living in a creepy house along with my fascination with old industrial buildings.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
I tend to write at night to help set the horror mood.
What are you working on now?
I have three other projects in the works. The main one is about a woman being haunted my her husband’s late wife. Then I have a crime/mystery thriller. Finally, I have ideas for a series.
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
I am still trying to determine the best avenues.
What are you reading now?
I am actually reading Harry Potter right now.
What’s next for you as a writer?
Continue pushing out new books and to learn as much about the self-publishing business as i can!

I recently shared my latest short story that has been loaded up to my Construction Tales-Told By A Woman Kindle Vella Library on Amazon. This is short story #11 entitled, "Juggling Motherhood & Working With The Tools". This short story covers my life as a widowed, single mother in the era when I juggled both motherhood and my career as a journeywoman electrician. I share the various challenges I faced and lessons learned along the way. The previous short story is entitled: #10: "Early Life Lessons & Characters To Meet As An Apprentice". I decided to write about some life lessons such as guarding your personal information, managing nasty rumors, combating sexual harassment, gender discrimination, and racism. Overall, the construction culture has improved dramatically over the past 25-years. Developing both a thick skin and a sharp tongue are key tools needed to survive various jobsite antics. I hope you learn something from this short story. There are more to come. These short stories are now also available as Verbally Disastrous podcast episodes.
