Advice On A Person Gauging Your Fear

Photo Credit: www.medium.com Hello Everyone! You all better be having a kick ass week! Are you excited for it almost being Friday? If you are reading this from the bar, I say "cheers" to you and your buddies! Yes, as I have mentioned in the past few posts, I am still dealing with the painful process of replacing my SUV that was lost during Hurricane Ida. I am now trying to pound you over the head with some questions from Quora and my corny advice. I have dropped a few on you at once tonight since I have found some time. I found even more questions geared for me on Quora and this is another one that caught my eye. I had some in draft mode for a little while and I recently re-discovered it. This one is the latest and greatest request for me to respond on Quora. This topic is on the meaning of someone asking you if you fear them. My answer is always HELL NO!! Even if I did have a small smidge of fear, I would not reveal that. I had to take beatings from my dad who had giant meat hooks. I served in the Navy and learned how to be even tougher there. I am also a seasoned NY construction worker who has dealt with all walks of life on the job over the years. All of those experiences have hardened me tremendously. A dude could not give a harder beating than my old man. Besides, I am way too damn stubborn to fear anyone much less reveal it if I was fearful. As a New Yorker, you know when you are dealing with a crazy situation, you know to pretend to be crazy mental patient your damn self too. You just have to look like an escaped mental patient and the other person more than likely will back down. I think I have only had to do it once in Manhattan late at night while at work. The morale of the story is never reveal your weaknesses ever! This is especially true to a stranger. I laughed quite heartily at the question and couldn't wait to respond. I imagined a bully in a schoolyard asking some kid if they were afraid of them. I then picture the kid to start acting crazy to scare away the circle of kids and the bully. Nevermind, it was funny in my head. After all, I am a sarcastic broad with a sick sense of humor. Well, here is the posed question and my offered response below. If you don’t fear them, then let them know. Hopefully, you have a sense of humor and proclaim, “yes, you scare me to death each and every time I’m in your presence!” If you actually fear them, withhold that information. You don’t want that person to know that information and use it against you. Ya must learn to fear nobody even if you have a strong chance of getting your ass kicked. Don’t let that person intimidate you and take up “fear space” in your head. Start hitting the gym and work on your endurance and strength. Either that or start screaming loudly and acting erratic in their presence so they think you are bat shit crazy. Go for that Oscar winning performance. This is a guy that would never ever be able to become a contractor and work on his own. He was missing many key characteristics that it takes in order to work on a project from cradle to grave solo.
