Renewing My OSHA 502 With Rochester Institute of Technology (R.I.T.) Online

hello everyone! I have been sitting in an all day Zoom session for the past two days for an OSHA 502 course. I just have to sit in the class tomorrow and I will fully complete my renewal process. OSHA 502 is a course for authorized trainers who teach OSHA 10 HR & 30 HR courses to students. I must renew on time every 4 years. If you pass your deadline, you would have to take ALL of the courses to get the credentials back. I have had my OSHA 500/502 since 2013 when I first opted to get into safety. I always wanted another avenue to hustle and make money. The 2008 recession was brutal on my family and finances!! As a result, I pursued my MBA about a year into the 2008 recession. I typically like to go to different locations to sit for my OSHA renewals. I flew to Los Angeles back in 2013 so I could first get my initial OSHA 500 trainer credentials. I took my first OSHA 502 renewal in 2017 down in Savannah, Georgia at Georgia Tech. I had a great time and met some good people in the class. I was looking forward to hitting Las Vegas for 2021. However, Covid-19 has really taken the wind out of my sails. I opted to take the course online this year. This option means I must stay within my OSHA region #2. Region #2 covers: New York, New Jersey, Virgin Islands, and Puerto Rico. I am thinking about sitting in an OSHA 502 in the Virgin Islands in the year 2025 when I have to renew every four years. I didn't have to take the class until July. However, I didn't want to run into a problem with getting in a class (because of Covid-19) so I erred on the side of caution and did it a few months earlier. This means that I will take the class in 2025 in the winter and can go take advantage of better weather in the Virgin Islands. :) I have never been to the Virgin Islands yet. I have been to San Juan, Puerto Rico almost two years ago in August. I am in love with that city, the fun, the food, and old-fashioned cocktails!!
