Vol. #23: Showcasing (3) More Awesome Gang Authors!!
Hello Everyone!
How is your Monday going for you so far? As I have said quite a few times before, I thank you for checking out my 16-year-old son John's "Call To Action Marketing" business (hashtag #CTAMarketing). This post is intended to share even more work of some independent authors, such as myself, and earn some good karma in the process. Why not offer you a taste of a variety of authors with different content? Let me know if you have discovered a new author during this "Showcased Author Series"? My objective is to pick out different authors that offer a variety of media content. For the record, I know nothing about the author other than what is showcased in the author article that was shared, via Awesome Gang. Feel free to copy and paste and share this content on your blog, if you like. As an author, if you want to add more information, drop it down in the comment section below and I will edit and add at my earliest convenience. For now, I'm connecting with the authors in an effort to build my author network. Hopefully, they will follow me back on social media. I'm game to cross promote each other on social media as well. Just let me know or re-tweet one of my posts and I will automatically return the favor on Twitter. I'm totally cool with many ways to help each other market each other. When you are a small content creator, it is important to help others out. I'm even submitted #ConstructionTales to both Awesome Gang and Book Reader Magazine last week. When I'm ready to release my children's book Not All Girls Play With Dolls on Amazon, I shall submit again at that time. My first children's book #NotAllGirlsPlayWithDolls is to empower young kids to pursue their passions even if it is not normally the tradition in their society. Do you have any requests for a specific author or style of content? Let me know your various suggestions down the in the comment section below. For now, here are (3) showcased authors down below:
Showcased Author- 1.) C Legorreta
Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
I had a nomadic childhood as a result of my parents’ work. The opportunity to explore and interact with the vast variety of environments and perspectives within the US and parts of South America deepened my appreciation for the beauty and diversity of these countries. After high school, I studied photography before getting a degree in History. I have always loved stories -the ones from our past and the ones we create. My goal, both in reading and writing, is to share the wonder of the human condition, with all the joys, sorrows, and triumphs that entails.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
The Creosote Bush is my first novel. The story, although fictional, was inspired by the people and conversations I had while studying photography in Seattle. I chose the title after reading about a ring of creosote bushes growing in the Mojave Desert. There are several such rings, but the one I read about is called King Clone. It stretches across the sand in a rather unassuming and unimpressive manner. Yet this clonal colony of genetically identical bushes is estimated to be 11,700 years old. Pushing ever outward, but still connected. Some might say, like us.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
I first started writing The Creosote Bush nearly twenty years ago. I “finished” it more times than I can remember. During this time I was also working, getting married, having kids, moving across country, and so on. But I always kept coming back to it -editing, getting feedback, editing some more- to the extent that I can hear my past selves, each with their own perspectives, speaking to me from the pages. This long editing process gave my thoughts and writing style the necessary time to grow and evolve.
What authors, or books have influenced you?
I am delighted and immensely grateful for the huge variety of authors and works available. I wish I could mention all those who have influenced me. I found The Sparrow, Ender’s Game, and Siddhartha riveting and thought-provoking. Tanya French’s understanding of the human psyche and her ability to immerse the reader in everything the characters are thinking, feeling, and experiencing is incredible. I love Laini Taylor’s imagination and well-developed worlds and storylines. I love Alice Hoffman’s The Dovekeepers, and Maria Popova’s lyrical Figuring. I appreciate Amy Bloom and John Green for their honesty, and I am moved by Maya Angelou’s wisdom. I love all the authors who have poured their hearts out and shared what they’ve thought, learned, and felt with the world.
What are you working on now?
I believe that connection is essential to meaning. Without it, one loses everything; with it, one gains everything. My next project revolves around three characters who embody what happens when connection is either severed or found.
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
Facebook and the writing community on Twitter have both been supportive when it come to promoting my work.
Do you have any advice for new authors?
Keep going. Read much and write often. As long as you are writing consistently, don’t worry about how long it may be taking. Write first for yourself, but then be open to feedback. Whether the feeback is positive or negative, use it as a tool to become better.
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
Keep going.
What are you reading now?
I am reading In the Dreamhouse, by Carmen Maria Machado.
What’s next for you as a writer?
I plan to keep working on my next project, but I also am hoping to carve out more time for journaling.
If you were going to be stranded on a desert island and allowed to take 3 or 4 books with you what books would you bring?
Figuring, by Maria Popova
a History of Philosophy
and Norton’s Anthology of World Literature

Showcased Author- 2.) Trina Boice
Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
Dr. Trina Boice is a #1 best-selling author of 31 books and was named the California Young Mother of the Year in 2004, an award which completely amuses her 4 sons. She teaches online for Brigham Young University and Arizona College of Nursing, in addition to creating online courses for professional development at LifelongLearningEducation.com. She’s a movie critic at Movie Review Mom.com and has a daily podcast called “Daily Inspirational Quote Hosted by Trina Boice”. She’s an author coach at FromBook2Business.com
She worked as a Legislative Assistant for a Congressman in Washington, D.C., and was given the “Points of Light” Award and Presidential Volunteer Service Award for her domestic and international community service. She was selected by KPBS in San Diego to be a political correspondent. She taught classes at the famous Le Cordon Bleu Culinary College and says she has the weight gain to prove it. If she told you what she really did she’d have to kill you.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
“The Ultimate Guide to Mystery Shopping: How To Get Paid To Eat, Shop, & Play”. I’ve been doing mystery shopping for many years in three different states where I’ve lived and I still get a kick out of it! Companies pay me to pretend to be a “real” customer while I’m evaluating a restaurant, store, theme park, hotel, or some other venue. I make money and get free merchandise. What’s not to love? People ask me about it all of the time, so I finally wrote a guidebook and an online course to show others how to get paid to eat, shop, and play!
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
To get into the writing zone, I listen to music. The type of music depends on what kind of a book I’m writing and what mood I want to get into. Sometimes I light a candle and I almost always have a delicious snack on my desk to much on. Before typing, I do a lot of research on the topic and begin brainstorming in outline form.
What authors, or books have influenced you?
I’ve read many books that had a powerful influence on me, so I don’t have a favorite author. I love many of the writers from the past, but I’m also inspired by living authors who are out there creating books, engaging their readers, and living their dream. That energy definitely rubs off on me and I want to do more! I would be thrilled to be called someone else’s favorite author some day!
What are you working on now?
I’m always working on several books at a time. Once I have a deadline for one of them from a publisher, I then focus on that one book until I finish it. Right now, I’m working on a book with a school principal in China. It compares the educational system in China and America. It will be a guidebook for Chinese parents who are interested in having their children study abroad.
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
I use a variety of social media sites every day to share what’s happening with my books, which ones are on sale or being offered for free, and posts that feature reviews. Targeting my posts to specific Facebook groups where people who are already interested in my topic are gathered has been the best method for marketing so far.
Do you have any advice for new authors?
Just do it! If you truly believe in your project, don’t give up. Writing a book and getting a book published can be hard work, especially in today’s economy. Persistence in this industry definitely pays off.
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
Wow, I can’t pick just one! I absolutely love inspirational quotes that fire me up and give me good advice on a variety of topics. That’s why I created my daily podcast called, “Daily Inspirational Quote with Trina Boice.” I share a quote that inspires me and then I talk about a story that illustrates the point.
What are you reading now?
I usually have several books on my bedside table that I’m reading simultaneously! Right now, I’m reading an adorable book about “Hygge”, which is a wonderful concept I was introduced to on my first trip to Denmark. It’s a word that describes that cozy, warm feeling when you’re sitting by a fire, drinking hot chocolate, surrounded by loved ones. I’m trying to create more of those kinds of magical moments in my life.
What’s next for you as a writer?
I’m always working on a few books at any moment! I teach at a couple of universities, have a daily podcast, and 4 YouTube channels. I’m obsessed with movies and share my reviews on my Movie Review Mom YouTube channel. I will also continue to create online courses at Lifelong Learning Education. I’m always open for new opportunities and an adventure!

I recently shared my latest short story that has been loaded up to my Construction Tales-Told By A Woman Kindle Vella Library on Amazon. This is short story #11 entitled, "Juggling Motherhood & Working With The Tools". This short story covers my life as a widowed, single mother in the era when I juggled both motherhood and my career as a journeywoman electrician. I share the various challenges I faced and lessons learned along the way. The previous short story is entitled: #10: "Early Life Lessons & Characters To Meet As An Apprentice". I decided to write about some life lessons such as guarding your personal information, managing nasty rumors, combating sexual harassment, gender discrimination, and racism. Overall, the construction culture has improved dramatically over the past 25-years. Developing both a thick skin and a sharp tongue are key tools needed to survive various jobsite antics. I hope you learn something from this short story. There are more to come. These short stories are now also available as Verbally Disastrous podcast episodes.

Advice: Calling Out A Verbally Abusive Person
Hello Everyone!
How is the work/home flow going on your on your Monday afternoon!? As I ask in each and every damn post lately, please connect with my son John Collazo on his social media that is under his name for his "Call To Action Marketing" #CTAMarketing brand that he is building. For this blog post, I'm sharing with you some more custom crafted construction chick advice. I have empathy for the woman who is faced with navigating around an asshole. It's impossible to go through life without dealing with some angry co-worker. Miserable people suck!! We all take a dirt nap and leave this planet some day. In the meantime, why harness and exude nasty energy?? The only thing you have in this life is your word and your legacy. Why taint your legacy with bad memory associations? It could be possible that the other person is not the brightest bulb in the pack or the sharpest pencil. Those kinds of folks require a slow bouncing ball and are frustrating. However, it is still not a pass to verbally berate someone. We are all human and working with what God gave us. I always say to fight fire with humor laced fire. When you make the exchange funny, then you no longer feel that you are being targeted and may take the pressure off of the situation. Making fun of a person's verbal beatings with a sharp, humorous retort can soften the blow and even make them look stupid. I find humor to be a great deflection shield that dramatically shifts the power dynamics in a relationship. If I poke fun at everything you say, it fizzles out the impact of your words. Humor gives me an excuse to laugh back at you to where it no longer hurts me. Thankfully, I'm built like a brick shit house so I'm very rarely physically challenged. There is nothing worse than a guy running his mouth and actually getting his ass kicked by a chick with an audience of your peers. The dude might as well leave the business or face constant random nicknames and jokes about that time when he got body slammed by the temp bathrooms on the 10th floor by that construction chick. I've had a few start saying some nonsense and a co-worker would warn him to not go there since I enjoy return fire ball breaking immensely. I took on way more verbal tirades as an apprentice back in the 90's. I didn't want to get kicked out of the program due to some spiteful journeyman. I had one general foreman who would go way over the line and he pushed many boundaries. My nickname, at one point of my apprenticeship, was Monica Lewinsky. When asked as to the source of my nickname, he would say that I'm a big girl and should suck dick to get ahead. He used to playfully sing, "sexual harassment for Leslie starts at 7:01AM!"
Of course, the worst thing is to cave in emotionally and get upset about the nickname or anything that was said to me. Instead of showing anger or crying, I laughed it off each and every time. I gave him no power over my emotions. One time, I even slid in, on a waxed floor, on my knees to bring in some material that was requested. At some point, he laid off the jokes and gave me respect. He even requested me as his apprentice since he liked my work ethic. I wrote about this particular general foreman in my book #ConstructionTales so I won't speak further on the details. If the modern #MeToo people of today ever heard what was said on average back on those job sites, they would lose their minds! The people who are genuinely harassed stay in the shadows and never reveal anything. In my 29-years of working in construction, I've never filed a harassment complaint and I never will. I would settle the score as to what means are necessary in person. Life on the job is rough for a woman who files harassment. Her name precedes her on any jobsite before she even steps foot there. I've seen it in the past. A woman came on my job and the guys heard she filed a harassment on a guy. My crew said that I had to be the ears and protect them. Of course, that is exactly what I would do since I'm considered as "one of the guys". The general foreman put her with me and of course I asked her as to the harassment story. According to her story, the guy pulled a douche move on her that made her feel embarrassed and disrespected. He opened up her vest and said he was looking to see how cold it was and if her "headlights" were on. I looked at her in shock! The story went all of the way to the top of the shop when she asked a shop steward for advice. I told her that I would have had to beat his ass in the parking lot or on the jobsite. Because of that story, it will be hard for her to last on a project since she will be perceived as trouble waiting to happen. Yes, I only heard her side to the story so I technically have to reserve judgement. I even dealt with a dude on the job where my work partner gave him the nickname, "the groper". I would be on the ladder and working in the closet. All of a sudden, I would feel a hand in between my thighs behind my knee. Of course, he would move the hand up my leg and I would yell at him to GET THE FUCK OUT OF HERE!! He would usually do it when he saw that I had both hands critically holding equipment and I could not slap him. He got slapped a few times. I am humored with his antics even if they made me uncomfortable. I've become de-sensitized to what anyone does and I'm well aware of it. What I find humor in, another person would cringe. That is a side effect of years of deflecting unwanted advances. I can go on and on about different people and their unwanted advances. I even had a female tradeswoman approach me in the bathroom on a jobsite with some unwanted sexual attention. That one kind of shocked me! These stories are reserved for future book volumes. Just know that the real people who are harassed suffer in silence or they speak up later on like me. Now, go ahead and read this posed question and my response down in the comment section below:
POSED QUESTION:
"How do I call out someone who tears me down, makes snarky comments towards me, and competes/imitates me?" -By Brittney Coleman
MY RESPONSE:
"A person who feels compelled to say nasty remarks to you is projecting their own poor sense of self esteem and misery. Happy people do not verbally and emotionally beat down others. The old sayings that apply say, “hurt dogs holler” and “misery loves company”. I would think that, when faced with this person’s verbal diarrhea, you can call them right out on the carpet and embarrass them. Pose these questions, “are you looking for me to cry?! What’s the point of your snarky comment? Do you feel better now?” The intent is to evoke an emotional response from that person. No matter how hard to home it hits, don’t give them that emotional fuel. If you do not like a confrontation, then resort to using humor. I always recommend lacing your retorts with laughter and humor. In my 29-years as a female electrician, I always face any kind of nonsense like that with humor. I sometimes over exaggerate a situation by using humor, facial expressions, and hand gestures. I’ve been known to playfully mock a person in return. I’m sure to have a laughing audience behind me to drive the point home. I had a guy mock my gender as a 1st year apprentice (written in my book #ConstructionTales) so I playfully fought back. At ANY chance I could get, I started playfully accusing him of being a momma’s boy. He would have sheetrock dust on his face and I would ask him if it was dried breast milk? Over time, he approached me about my humor and said he’d knock me out if I was a guy. I even played into that response by being rather theatrical and grinning while saying “go ahead” and pointing to my cheek. This caused anyone in ear shot to laugh at my antics. He backed down since he didn’t like being picked on in return. Fight fire with fire and humor. It’s a good podcast episode idea to discuss on my #VerballyDisastrous podcast. I wish you luck with shifting the dynamics into your favor.” -By Leslie M. Jasper

Advice: Responses To A Woman Accusing A Guy Of Being A Creep
Hello Everyone!
How are you focusing your energy on your Friday morning!? As I ask in each post, please connect with my son John Collazo on his social media that is under his name for his "Call To Action Marketing" brand that he is building. I really want to see him grow and build with what he pursues in life. In my previous blog post, I shared some more big sister advice on the meaning behind a guy's creepy behavior. This next round of advice is similar and on the subject of dealing with being accused of being creepy. The young man doesn't like the accusations and wanted some responses to say in return of the accusations. I have empathy for a guy who is an innocent bystander and being falsely accused. Some people like to record the process of humiliating another unwilling party for the sake of internet clout. Now that is not a good thing to do to people but it happens all of the time. The girl may be projecting her past trauma on this young man who doesn't deserve it. Then again, he may have to tone down his creepy overtones that he doesn't know that he is producing. Different situations call for different forms of action. Regardless of the real deal, I had fun with crafting my list of retorts. Let me know if you got a laugh out of my list or not? If you have some examples of your own responses, drop them down in the comment section down below. I know I'm building you up with anticipation of seeing the list. :P Go ahead and read this posed question and my response down in the comment section below:
POSED QUESTION:
"Someone called you a creep for no good reason. Like all because you said “hi” to them, or something else that is equally appropriate. Or they are just blowing things out of proportion or just trying to humiliate you. What would be a good come back?" -By Austin Stephen Wright
MY RESPONSE:
"This is a multi-layered post. Even if your perception of your words and actions are appropriate, chicks can very well misinterpret them as creepy. You can’t control how someone interprets you. The only thing you can control would be: stay status quo (zero changes), increase your method of approach, remove yourself from their presence, or dial your approach back even if you don’t think it’s necessary. There are many ways to say “hi” and they all look and sound different. Remember that women are subjected to bold men, courtesy of the internet, who choose to take no for an answer. These internet experiences can have an impact. Even if you mean no harm, her bad past experiences can shape her perception of you. Sometimes a person will respond either sarcastic or funny with telling another persinkiothey are a creep. That deserves an equally smart ass retorts. Perhaps some of my retorts could be the following:
1) Your mom/dad doesn't think I'm a creep.
2) No, I'm not your daddy, sugar! (it might not be always good to use/ read the room)
3) Who? Mmeeee!?! (look surprised)
4) That's what all my ex boy/girlfriends say!
5) How high am I on the creep scale exactly?
6) That's rich coming from the crypt keeper herself!
7) I'm not like all of your past boyfriends.
8) Don't confuse me with your last lover.
9) I'm no where nearly as creepy as your 92-year old sugar daddy!
10) Does that mean that I make you horny?
Use one of these retorts from a social distance in case she slaps you! 😜” -By Leslie M. Jasper

Thanks for reading my customized retorts for my Quora pal in this advice post. Let me know your thoughts? Yes, I'm aware that some of my advice is middle school humor. Advice: Thoughts On An Awkward Moment Between A Male & Female
Hello Everyone!
How are you focusing your energy on your Friday morning!? It was very hazardous getting in to work this morning! UGH! It snowed then rained like crazy so it's a sleet/rain puddle mess this morning!! I was never a fan of snow ever! It's only pretty if you can drink spiked hot cocoa and stare out the window and not do shit. Sorry for bitching about the weather, my friend. A goal of mine is to retire in a warmer climate. I used to work in this weather when I worked with the tools. I didn't mind it so much when I was younger. The older I get, the more the cold impacts me. I used to dance in the trench with raingear on and boots and sing inappropriate songs with my partner while spinning 4" rigid conduit or 4" PVC pipe install. Rainy days like today remind me of my years of working on railroad platforms. There is nothing quite like lying on your back on the rocks on a piece of plywood under a train platform spinning rigid with the Hudson River only feet away in February. Probably the coldest work experience to have...LOL! Those were the good 'ole days! I talk about some of my railroad adventures in my podcast. Thanks a million in advance for supporting my son John's "Call To Action Marketing" (hashtag #CTAMarketing) business! Please connect with him on his social media that is under his name. Now, for this blog post, I shared some more big sister advice. This advice is on the subject of dealing with creepy and awkward men. I'm a girl who can definitely handle my own. However, I'm not exempt from dealing with pushy ass men. I feel like Manhattan is the epicenter of creepy, very forward dudes who cat call and try to aggressively pick up women. I'm usually polite and keep it moving. Years ago, I had a dude in a night club come up behind me and grabbed my ass cheeks with both hands and squeezed hard! He dug his fingers into the muscle of my backside. I immediately applied my elbow to his stomach with full force. He dropped down to the ground on his knees while holding his stomach. My close friend was dancing with me and she had a look of shock and gasped while holding her hand over her mouth when it happened. At first, she didn't understand why I dropped him. I explained to her that he dug into my ass muscle with his fingers. He came around about 30-minutes later and apologized. I accepted the apology and told him to be careful of doing that in the future. You have no idea of what a woman is capable of doing. I hit him absolutely perfect in his midsection! That incident was the source of quite a few years of laughs with my friend. Have you dealt with a creepy guy who has not taken "no" for an answer? If so, how did you deal with it? I'd love to hear your feedback in the comment section. The crazier story the better!! :P Without further ado, go ahead and read this posed question and my response down in the comment section below:
POSED QUESTION:
"What does it mean when a random guy says 'im not going to hit on you'? After he makes very awkward and short eye contact while I was walking past him. I was just tryna pass but he kept looking at me and wouldnt let me pass normally, he said it 2times" -By Anan J
MY RESPONSE:
"That creep is checking your response to his inquiry. Since you didn't smile, play with your hair, giggle, or give any indication of mutual interest with his 1st try, he checked it again for a 2nd try. His approach is rather foul when he resorts to a passive aggressive form of intimidation with his 3rd try. That's so New York of him. 😜 That was his weird way of communicating his displeasure with you for not giving him the attention that he was seeking. Somewhere along his life path, he learned that intimidation will get him what he desires= no proper house training. I'm glad for you that you managed to successfully get out of that awkward situation. Truth be told, the creep was super dehydrated and very thirsty for you. May you successfully dodge that creep in the future. #ConstructionTales #VerballyDisastrous” -By Leslie M. Jasper

Thanks for reading my custom made Quora advice post. Let me know what you think? As I said before, have you previously ran into people who act awkward and creepy? If so, I sure hope you dodged any trouble. How have you handled the creeps?? Drop your response down in the comment section below since epic stories are embraced here. Advice: Meaning Behind A Man's Fear Of Committing Again??
https://www.shopeverydaygrind.com/
Hello Everyone!
How are you focusing your energy on your Thursday afternoon/evening!? I'm doing this alternate day fasting regime, for now. On fasting days, I'm okay. On eating days, I'm going out of my mind wanting to eat all damn day!! I'm not sure if it is a mental thing that develops or not over time. I've been doing it with success for the past two months. Let me know if you are also experiencing major hunger while on alternate day fasting? Thanks a million in advance for supporting, via connecting on social media, my son John's "Call To Action Marketing" (hashtag #CTAMarketing) business! I'm trying to get him to establish a blog since he is very new to this realm. I have to get on him this week to do it. For this blog post, I'm sharing my custom crafted Quora advice. I'm also sharing the "3v3ryday Grind" clothing line information that was started by a fellow union journeywoman electrician Isis Harris out in Portland, Oregon. To look at her website, check out the link above. My custom crafted Quora advice is on the fear of commitment for a guy. This guy shared that he is fearful of committing again. Now, I wouldn't be Leslie without sharing some good 'ole fashioned construction chick advice in my own delivery. I'm sure to lace the advice with sarcasm and humor. After many years in construction, I speak "man" on the job rather fluently. I also have to translate for the guys, via speaking "woman", for my co-workers. I've helped salvage some marriages and cracked the code on passive aggressive Jedi mind trick moves. I so appreciate when someone spits out exactly as to what is wrong with them!! Ladies- men don't take hints very well at all!! They are not mind readers either!! Therefore, I'm a self-proclaimed expert on this subject matter. :P Overall in my personal experiences, men are simple creatures compared to women. In my mind, many men require much more patience since they make knee jerk decisions and think about the consequences later on. Meanwhile, many more women are calculated with their moves. This is why some women take more of a slight with some guy's dumb decision. For the record, this is just a generalization and not blanket statements. It's impossible to put all genders into bulk categories. Yes, I'm aware there are more than two gender boxes to select these days. I honestly like working with men way more then being subjected to women in the work world. I can't say that I've never worked for women becaue I have and they were super cool as hell!! The requirements are very distinct between those sometimes opposing forces. Then again, I have the construction worker mentality. Most people not in that realm are somewhat perceived as "weak minded" to me. :P Especially true if they are scared to speak what is on their mind. Oh boy!!! I'm going to stop while I'm ahead (not sure if I'm too late). Now that I have ruffled some feathers, I'll leave you be to read the posed question and my advice down below:

POSED QUESTION:
"What does it mean if he says he’s afraid of committing again?" -By Excel Dol Dol
MY RESPONSE:
"Sadly, he is basing his potential future experience upon his past failed relationships. I’m guilty as hell of viewing relationships from the cracked rearview mirror myself. As a female construction worker, I’ve worked with and coached many male co-workers in my day. Therefore, I can speak from experience on this one. Most men are simple creatures; feed em, f@ck em, give some space to function. If a man feels like those areas are going to be met with major contention, he will not want to sign up for a lifetime of that dose. Remember that not everything needs to be a fight. Try to not sweat the insignificant things. Give a dude some space and you enjoy things with your lady friends. Try to make a relationship fun where both of you look forward to each others’ company. Nagging, even if he is being a lazy $hit, is draining on the soul. Life’s responsibilities can make a relationship rather dreary. If all of those things are met with a coolness, then he may be emotionally damaged from his past and no amount of waiting will fix that dumpster fire. Instead of tapping your toe metaphorically for a commitment, take the pressure off of identifying the situation off the table. You can’t push water upstream. If the relationship is easy, it will flow like water and all will fall into place. A person will settle into an easy relationship if not pushed and if it feels right with time. Then again, he could very well be warning you that what he sees is a pattern of his past experiences and he is having second thoughts. I would ask him to identify what he sees as a pattern (non confrontational) and then work on yourself if it is your issue. Remember, even if you put hot sauce on it, ya can’t make a $hit sandwich taste good. He may be warning you that he is not a relationship kind of a guy but doesn’t know how to say it. He may be avoiding that topic since he still wants to get the good goods-if you know what I mean? If you don’t want to have “the talk”, study the person’s words and actions over time and move accordingly. If your biological clock is ticking, then take him at his word and cut your losses. You can’t control what he does but you can damn sure remove yourself from a broken relationship with an emotionally immature man. Unless he does the self work, he will be stuck in that way forever. If you have time to burn, hold out and see if he gets more comfortable with the relationship. I wish you luck on making the best decisions and being your happiest and healthiest self! #ConstructionTales” -By Leslie M. Jasper

Just Released! #ConstructionTales On Awesome Gang!!
Hello Everyone!
How are you dedicating yourself to your Thursday afternoon/evening!? I'm thankful for having a job to attend that gives me some freedom to blog-for now. I'm providing coverage for a high rise condo complex that is having some concrete work performed on it for the next year. Being a safety manager is way easier than being a project manager or electrician!! I'm very glad that I made the change and put in the work to get the credentials. I provide guidance on my journey in previous blog posts to help you, if you are interested. I thank you in advance for supporting, via connecting on social media, my son John's "Call To Action Marketing" (hashtag #CTAMarketing) business! I'm trying to get him to establish a blog since he is very new to this realm. Of course, as a proud mom, I will share his content. For this blog post, I'm sharing my own Awesome Gang submission. I also submitted to Book Reader Magazine as well. When I see my #ConstructionTales book post in Book Reader Magazine, I will share shortly. For the record, there was a $20 fee through Book Reader Magazine. I paid for the submission with my PayPal account. The funny thing is that I have been sharing Awesome Gang authors for the past few weeks. I recently thought about submitting #ConstructionTales myself and opted to proceed. My goal has been to provide some interesting content for my readers. Talking about me all of the time is BORING!! I truly have an abundance mindset and believe in helping people in their marketing quest as an author or any other projects. I'm sharing the "3v3ryday Grind" clothing line information that was started by a fellow union journeywoman electrician Isis Harris out in Portland, Oregon. As soon as I receive her email, I will share more in-depth of this fellow tradewoman's clothing line. I need to purchase a hoodie and t-shirt off of her website. It is on my to-do list for this weekend. To look at her website, here is the link:

I appreciate you for peeping my own Awesome Gang author article blog post. Let me know what you think? Let me know if you are a trades person and have a personal project that you are working on? Know of anyone out there trying to hustle with their own start-up? Let me know so we can promote each other. By the way, I'm sharing my latest (8) podcast episodes that come from The Verbally Disastrous Podcast, via links for Spotify & YouTube down below. If you read a Kindle, check out my newest short story release that belongs to my Construction Tales-Told By A Woman Kindle Vella Library short story series on Amazon down below. This new short story #11 is entitled, "Juggling Motherhood & Working With The Tools". This short story covers my life as a widowed, single mother in the era when I juggled both motherhood and my career as a journeywoman electrician. The previous short story is #10 is entitled, "Early Life Lessons & Characters To Meet As An Apprentice". If anyone has read any of my other previous short stories, by all means, let me know what you think? Check out the links for my book #ConstructionTales down below. I'm at work and writing content just for YOU! Have a fabulous Thursday since we are towards the end this work week. I wish you a great morning/afternoon/evening on your side of the globe and a restful or productive day!
